Securing the ECOgardener landscape fabric into the ground using garden pins or landscape staples is a common practice in landscaping to prevent weeds and promote healthy plant growth. By fastening the fabric tightly between the staples, you can ensure that it stays in place and effectively blocks out sunlight, preventing weed growth.
The ECOgardener weed barrier landscape fabric is an excellent choice to create a low-maintenance and aesthetically pleasing garden. Use our premium 5oz landscape fabric in a rockscape for an effective way to suppress weed growth and maintain the aesthetic appeal of your yard. Super easy to install! Simply prepare the area, lay the fabric down, spread your rocks or gravel over the fabric, and you're done!
Before putting in the fabric, clear the entire area and level the ground. For the best outcome, pull up any sprouting weeds by their roots. Next, lay down the weed barrier fabric all over the area, overlapping the fabric by 6-12 inches if more than one roll is needed to cover the space. Level the surface roughly and fill in any holes with a strong rake. The ground just needs to be roughly even if you will be using surface materials.
